Ajka Transformatoren Kft. supplies industrial customers across Europe. From our production site in Ajka, Hungary, we deliver inductive components to the German-speaking markets of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland – as well as to all other EU countries. Our customers are manufacturers of EV charging systems, solar inverters, frequency converters, and UPS systems that require reproducible wound components according to technical specifications.
Less Copper, Less Losses, Less weight, Less Size and Better controllability.
Chokes for 5KW to 500KW Applications!
Our integrated multi-phase inductor combines multiple inductors into a single unit – without requiring any changes to your existing circuit design. Compared with a customized 3 PH Choke to a Toroidial Choke Solution it offers: weight is reduced by 37% (from 3.5 kg to 2.2 kg), the coupling coefficient drops from 0.45 to 0.15, and core losses are reduced from 21 W to 12.7 W. The result: simplified power control, significantly reduced installation space, and higher overall system efficiency.
Flat Wire Winding Technology
Higher current densities, more compact dimensions, and improved thermal dissipation compared to conventional round wire – achieved through precise flat wire winding in our in-house production.
Integrated Multi-Phase Designs
Multiple inductors combined into a single unit – 45% less volume, 37% less weight, and inductance balance of ±0.1% instead of ±14%.
In-House Manufacturing in Ajka
500 m² of production space, 15 production employees, and a newly built production hall (2023) ensure consistently high manufacturing quality.
Focus on Power Electronics
Coils, transformers, and chokes specifically developed for manufacturers of EV charging systems, solar inverters, power inverters, and UPS systems.
Flat wire winding uses a rectangular copper conductor instead of round wire for winding coils, transformers, and chokes. The rectangular cross-section allows for tighter winding density (higher fill factor), higher current density within the same space, and improved heat dissipation due to larger contact surfaces. The result is more compact and efficient components – especially relevant for high power density electronics.
Our coils, transformers, and chokes are used in EV charging systems (AC and DC charging), solar inverters, frequency converters, power inverters, and UPS systems. We develop all components according to your specific electrical and mechanical requirements. Please contact us with your specifications.
An integrated multi-phase inductor combines multiple single inductors into one shared magnetic circuit. Compared to separate inductors, it reduces size (−45%) and weight (−37%), improves inductance balance to ±0.1%, and lowers the coupling coefficient to 0.15. The circuit design remains unchanged. This simplifies power control, especially under DC bias conditions.
We supply industrial customers across Europe, with a focus on the German-speaking markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) as well as all other EU countries. Our location in Ajka, Hungary, provides strong logistical access to all European markets.
